Flyover Farm

After our wedding, Chad and I moved to a new home. It's a 3 acre farm west of Phoenix. We LOVE it. It really doesn't take me long to fill up a backyard with animals. So- here is a who's who of "Flyover Farm!" The above photo is what Chad gave me for my wedding present!
All the boys out in the field...
Jet and his designer fly mask!
And here we have "The Happiest Basset, Riddy!" This is Demure and his "mini-Demure" Maximus. I rode Demure and led Maximus down the street. They were great!
This is One eyed Will. He loves the camera, and thought it best to smile for it! (Will is very very old, so we don't make fun of his bad teeth. He saw the dentist about them a month ago... Seriously.)
This is Chili Pepper. He belongs to a student of mine. We liked him so much we told them he could live with us!
And here is Maximus and Chad. The men of the farm! This shows you how tiny Maximus is!

Brett and her ladies... The hens really do eat all of your bugs! Scorpions and crickets are their favorites. This is Rose. She is a bit camera shy... and not the nicest one! She does lay an egg almost daily though! This is Javier. Javy for short, and she loves me! This is Tyrone. Don't ask...
And here we have Panda! She is the oldest, and hasn't laid an egg yet! However, she is a big old lady and we love her!

So much has changed... :)

So much has happened since I last posted! After getting a verbal lashing from my sister-in-law, I do promise to be better at posting here.

Since family reads this, I will skip all of the details. You were there!

My New Family! I couldn't be prouder to be a part of it.
Chad's new family-whether he likes it or not!

We had an amazing time, and it was so perfect. Thanks to all of our friends and family for being a part of it!
Next blog to come- Flyover Farm!

Happy Birthday!

Friday was Chad's birthday, and we had a dinner party at our local neighborhood restaurant, Gratzie. We then made our way home to play Wii into the wee hours. More photos of that to come, but thanks to Monica. She was kind enough to bring her new fancy camera and be our own personal paparazzi!
Happy Birthday to the Love of My Life.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!! Wow. What an absolutely incredible year 2009 was. I got to see and do so many new and incredible things. I also got engaged to my best friend in the world. I am truly lucky and so very happy. Cheers to 2010 being even better, if that is possible!!!

Just to catch you up, here are some of the more recent pictures. We sent out a christmas card this year, one of the most domestic things I have ever done. If you got it, you saw the pics of our two pups. The final result was a good photo, but for your entertainment, here are some of the ones leading up to it that just didn't make the cut.

Yes, Brett even has her eyes closed!

And, the final one...
For the second year in a row, Chad got to do the fly-by for the Insite Bowl in Tempe. Here are some of the photos and hopefully I can figure out how to get the video up!

I can't help it. I love this picture.

So, they call Chad's name, and he turns around to look at me. Well, I was looking up at the big screen to take his picture as they called his name. Here is the result... :)

I couldn't be more proud of Chad and all of his accomplishments. Life is good.

We just found this online too. This is Chad's fly-by from the College World Series in Omaha! He is the guy in the middle left position. Enjoy, and Happy New Year!!
