It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. So what do you do on a day like that? Yard work? I don't think so. Clean the house? Nope. Run errands? No thanks. On a beautiful, perfect Sunday in Arizona, there is only one thing to do. Forget all of your responsibilities and take in a spring training game!
Chad, Goose (Danny) Monica and I headed over to Camelback Ranch to see the White Sox take on the Dodgers. Why that game, you ask? Many reasons.
1. Love him or hate him, he's just Manny being Manny. Maybe since he just re-signed with the Dodgers we would get to see him!
2. Chad is a die hard Giants fan. That means he hates the Dodgers. So maybe we would see them lose! (at least he isn't a Mets fan)
3. Camelback Ranch is the new spring training home for the Dodgers and Sox, and it is SO CLOSE to our house!
4. The Braves are in Florida in the Grapefruit league.
5. It's Baseball. Period.
So we didn't see #1, but number 2 was a huge success. The Sox pelted the Dodgers 9-4.
We had a blast packing a lunch, spreading out a blanket on the grass, and laying back to watch some baseball. Chad told me I was totally in my element.
He was too.
Wow...throw in taking a nap while laying on the blanket and that would be a great afternoon! Glad the Dodgers lost! Go Giants!!
