This weekend, I went to Los Angeles. Monica joined me on Saturday, courtesy of Goose and his airplane. I stayed with some of Monica's old college friends, and we just had a blast!
How cool it was to dip my toes in the water on the west coast! As we continued nursing my now long gone pain, we made our way down Santa Monica all the way to Venice. What a blast it was! My previous LA experiences have only been for work, so it was great to get a taste of the real city.
On Saturday night, the fun continued... We went to a Japanese karaoke bar! Notice in the next two photos all of the signs in the background! There were so many rules! Some of the rules included no dancing, no standing up at the bar, ect... It was crazy!
So as some of you may know, I went there for a job interview. Well, it was a disaster. The guy was a complete A-Hole. I couldn't get out of his office fast enough. Actually, I was looking around for a window to jump out of. That is all I will say about that.
So, the girls, sensing my disappointment and frustration, decided to take me out on the town! Monster Margaritas at the Santa Monica Pier!

We shopped, bought handbags and dresses, and had general "Retail Therapy!"

We also visited some famous, and infamous places! In the pic below, it's the courts that they filmed "White Men Can't Jump," the Wesley Snipes/Woody Harrelson "classic." Monica was very excited...

I took this picture on the boardwalk for Chad, aka Skate!

Here is Danny singing the Hanukkah Song, by Adam Sandler. Very funny...

Monica was kind enough to make the trip home with me, and I couldn't resist a little detour!
I had to go there! My favorite Band of all time is U2, and my favorite album by my favorite band is...
In closing, I had an absolute blast in LA. Thanks so much to Monica, Maria, and Goose for such a great time!

It's a bummer that it didn't work out like you intended...but it looks like y'all still managed to have a ton of fun.
ReplyDeleteHey...now you'll never wonder, "What if?" I'm proud of you for going out there!! And jealous of you being at the beach!! We had a "working" weekend and almost finished Eric's big-boy room and the new playset!! LA sounds more fun!!
